The God Who Seeks

You know, it’s not wrong to have questions about Christianity. And you know, we’re in the south so most people won’t share their objections, but sometimes people do, and what I find most of the time is that their objections are rooted in misunderstandings.

That’s because many people who profess to reject the Bible have never read it. Many people who profess to reject Jesus have an idea of Jesus that is wholly unfounded by Scripture. In fact, just a comment here, how could you possibly read of the Jesus of Scripture, who is utterly brimming with life and joy and grace, whom the poor, the outcast, the children flocked to, how could anyone in their right mind reject Him? To reject Jesus without studying who He is, is not only foolish, but it’s tragic.

Doubt your doubts. Bring them to the Bible. Think not of what you’ve heard in college classrooms or from people who make a living slandering God, but what does the Bible say? You cannot say that you have rejected Christ until you have read His Word and sought to know Him as He really is.
