Abiding in Christ

Today we’re going to look at just a couple of verses in John 8, where we’re told that many people believed and began following Jesus. 

And of course, that’s Jesus’ great delight. That’s why He came- to seek and save the lost. But Jesus’ desire is not merely to gather a bunch of bodies to form a critical mass, but rather to draw to Himself a people who will remain steadfastly committed to Him til death, just as He would be steadfastly committed to them even to the point of His own death.
