The Lamb of God

The church must be a community that is willing to be open and honest about our sin. If we hide our sin and pretend we’ve got it all together, especially when it comes to things like addiction, we’ll never overcome it. When we understand our need of Jesus, it helps us to be incredibly gracious with others. 

The Gospel utterly transforms how we treat one another, especially that we are quick to forgive one another, because of how God has forgiven us. One of the ways you know you’ve gotten the Gospel is that you become more concerned with your own sins than the sins of others. The way you know you’ve forgotten the Gospel is that the sins of others bother you more than your own sins.
