For the last three Lord’s Days, we’ve been studying John 7, and all of the events of John 7 have taken place in a one week span. And we know that because the setting is a week-long Jewish festival known as the Feast of Booths, or the Feast of Tabernacles.

Prior to studying John 7, most of us probably have not thought much about the Feast of Tabernacles- we probably think of the Passover as the more prominent religious holiday. But actually by Jesus’ day, the Feast of Tabernacles was the biggest festival of the year, one that was most enjoyed, one packed with spiritual significance.  And as we’re going to see today, it was a significance that was pointing to and was fulfilled in Christ.
