Christ, the True Tabernacle

Do you realize that joy is at the heart of the Christian life?  In various forms, God commands over 200 times that we rejoice. He isn’t commanding us to be Pharisees, to pretend all is well when it’s not. There are some hard things in this life, Jesus faced them, you face them. But when your eyes are upon Jesus Christ, you have every reason to rejoice in all circumstances. 

That means, not only is a sour Christian is a contradiction in terms, but a sour Christian is a disobedient Christian. To not rejoice, even in the midst of affliction, is an act of disobedience toward God. Let us rejoice, for God is with us.
