Grumbling or Adoring?

Please don't take credit for what God has so mercifully done for you by working in you, by removing the blinders from your eyes and the wax from your ears. He's given you the capacity to hear the Word of God, to see the sweetness and the loveliness of the Savior. It’s just so magnificent.

Think high thoughts of God. Think great thoughts of God. Consider how He bore with you in your time of lostness, and did not give you what your sins deserve. Consider how, before you were ever seeking Him, He sought you and caused you to be born again. Consider all that His sovereign grace spared you from. Consider how He is working now in the circumstances of your life, even the mundane, or even those things that seem like nothing good could possibly come from them. And praise Him. And say to Him “O God, you gave what was most valuable to You, for me. I give you all that I have, I give you my heart, I give you my time, my energy, my service- it’s all yours.”
