An Everlasting Kingdom

David’s closing reflections certainly show his love for God’s Kingdom, and especially the hope that, though earthly kings will rise and fall, the Kingdom will go on forever and ever and ever.

That’s what this passage is about: David’s hope for the Kingdom, that it will endure long after he is gone because Christ is the true King, and He will reign forever.
