New Wine

Christ in the new wine of the Gospel comes to us with a deluge of the greatest possible joy this side of Heaven. And this miracle Christ did at this wedding shows us that He can provide us that joy in overwhelming abundance.  

When you seek to know Jesus in the power of the Gospel, it becomes to your soul the sweetest possible wine, the greatest imaginable joy, and it is one that He loves to give without end. 

The master of the feast was amazed that the good wine was saved for last. But that is how the Gospel works: the more you seek Christ, the sweeter the savor of the Gospel becomes to you. And it is a flavor of which you will never grow tired, and the fount will never run out.
