Why Do People Oppose Jesus

Have you ever noticed that people can profess to be atheists, and at the same time have such vehemence against the God they profess doesn't exist? It's a perplexing problem, but one that has a clear reason behind it: people do this, not because they believe God doesn't exist, but because they wish He didn't. After all, if there was no God, then we would be the ultimate authority in our own lives. In this passage we will consider our own innate opposition to God's authority, as well as why the safest and best place we can be is living in submission to His authority.
