Children at First Scots
A spiritually healthy family is the basic building block of the spiritually healthy church which is the basic building block of the spiritually healthy society. Our desire is to assist parents in their work of training up children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. We do not believe that children’s ministry is “one size fits all” and we want to maximize the opportunities to feed and encourage the families that the Lord gives us. As our families grow, so too will our children’s ministry.
Currently, Sunday morning gives children three opportunities:
Children up to four years old can go to the nursery for both Sunday School and worship.
Children four to six years old can attend our young children’s Sunday School.
Children seven and up can attend our older children’s Sunday School.
Children of all ages are welcome to accompany their parents to our adult Sunday school classes.
If you would like details on the vision for expanded children’s ministry, email Pastor Alex Mark at firstname.lastname@example.org.
2nd & 4th Sunday Evenings
On the 2nd and 4th Sunday Evenings of each month our middle school aged children gather for Fired Up! Youth. They are currently using Focus on the Family’s Truth Project to discuss hard questions from a biblical worldview. They gather in various homes to eat, study and fellowship together and they invite you to join them.
Children ages seven and up are encouraged to participate in our Covenant Choir, led by Cindy Duncan. The Choir practices from 5:30 – 6:00 pm on the 1st and 3rd Sunday Evenings each month. We want our young people to use their voices and musical gifts to praise God and participate in worship through music.
