Children’s Ministry

Children at First Scots

A spiritually healthy family is the basic building block of the spiritually healthy church. Our desire is to assist parents in their work of training up children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. We do not believe that children’s ministry is “one size fits all” and we want to maximize the opportunities to feed and encourage the families that the Lord gives us. As our families grow, so too will our Children’s Ministry.

Sunday Mornings

Currently, Sunday morning gives children three opportunities:

  • Children up to four years old can go to the Nursery for both Sunday School and Worship.

  • Children four to eight years old can attend our Children’s Sunday School.

  • Children of all ages are welcome to accompany their parents to our main Sunday School class and are also welcome in Worship.

Wednesday Nights

unnamed-2Wednesday evening is our fellowship time for children, youth, and adults. This is a time set apart for prayer, fellowship, and learning, and we would love for you to join us! We meet at the same location (302 Burroughs Avenue) from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.

  • Both children and adults gather for a few songs, and then children have a time of activities and teaching while the adults have time together for prayer, Bible study, and fellowship. This season the children will be learning about and memorizing the Lord’s Prayer.

  • Our SEEK curriculum is specially designed to engage our children with the truth of Scripture while incorporating elements of Scripture memory, passage exploration, and teaching. SEEK stands for:

    • Serve
    • Educate and
    • Equip
    • Kids
